Mantra

Magic is finite unless we preserve it. However, preservation isn’t enough.

Manifestation is the beginning. Preservation is a criteria. Evolution is the future.

To study magic is to move forward.

Manifestation – Preservation – Evolution (M.P.E)

Manifestation, preservation, and evolution (M.P.E) are the pillars of the School of Applied Magics. Each serves as a criteria for how to go about magic research and discovery.

There are different focuses within the school, each of which focuses on one or more of the following avenues of magic, either solely or interchangeably:

Innate. The naturals. The gifted. The born. Magic is in your blood and at your core, no matter how faint it could be. It also lives in the natural world, but just needs to be uncovered.

Theory. The algorithms created to manifest magic based off trial and error. The components, utterances, motions, and their sequence of execution make up the most common form of spellcasting.

Fabrication. The creation of implements and vessels that manifest magic in the external world of the caster, but may be unique to them. These are the tools, weapons, and heirlooms of a caster that can be passed down through generations.

Relics. Old magic. Created by ancient means. That which was created by mortals, immortals, or fairies, but forgotten over time how to use and recreate them. These are the most dangerous to study because of the scale of power they possess.
